This was a week of amazing green beauty releases! Two of the biggest green makeup brands, Kjaer Weis and RMS Beauty, dropped brand new shades. I feel like I’ve got a bevy of peach products, so the Kjaer Weis Cream Blush in Precious would be redundant for me. However, I haven’t felt satisfied with cream bronzer offerings. I steered clear of the RMS Buriti Bronzer after reading several lukewarm reviews, and I don’t love the Kjaer Weis Dazzling Bronzer because it can come off too muddy on my skin. If anything, this Kjaer Weis Bronzer creates more of a golden, shimmery glow that looks good on top of more pigmented contour or bronzing powder.

Listening to green beauty lovers’ feedback, RMS Beauty just released the Contour Bronze shade. It’s a darker pigmented cream bronzer, compared to the Buriti Bronzer, without the same red or warm undertones.

The Contour Bronze is definitely darker in shade than other cream bronzers. I was struck by its beautiful, bronzy, golden look with shimmer that looked almost copper-toned in the light. The texture is emollient and smooth like all RMS products, and the coconut oil base gives the bronzer a dewy look.

Similar to my experience with the Kjaer Weis Dazzling Bronzer, I find bronze or brown colours a lot harder to blend. I don’t know why because the formulation is the same as the RMS lip2cheeks that I have no problem with! When I apply the bronzer to the hollows of my cheeks, it seems to ball up. I think this could happen for multiple reasons: 1) I don’t prime my skin and apply it after my clarifying serum 2) the dark pigment is more finicky to work with and to smooth into the skin 3) applying pigment to this part of my face, rather than the apples of my cheeks, makes it less blendable. Honestly, I don’t know why I struggle with the application, but I do. Tips would be appreciated here. I’ll keep playing with it like applying with a primer or waiting for my serum to set better first. Suffice it to say, I don’t think this is a product flaw but a personal flaw. I’ll keep you posted on my progress!

Onto the colour, I really like it. I think it delivers a deeper, darker punch where the other cream bronzers are lacking. It’s a deep brown with gorgeous, golden luminescence. Check it out below when compared to the Kjaer Weis Dazzling Bronzer. It does add a good amount of definition to my cheekbones, temples, and forehead, and it paired well with a cream blush and highlighter. I was impressed by its sculpting capabilities. However, a note of caution when choosing what other products to use with it: you could go overboard wearing this with a full face of other, cream-based products. This bronzer creates that glowy look in a real way. I combined it with a cream blush and highlighter, and I felt I was rocking the dewy face a little too hard and set it all with the RMS Un-Powder to take the shine down a notch.  On its own and for this time of year, however, this texture is perfect. It leaves the perfect, fresh finish to the skin.

So, if you’re in the market for a cream bronzer, I think this is your best bet in the green beauty world. It imparts a beautiful, summer glow to the skin and keeps you looking fresh and youthful. Pick it up now right here. Though, I must admit that it’s not my absolute favourite natural bronzer. That distinction goes to the 100% Pure Bronzer in Cocoa Glow. In many ways, this product is like the cream version of that pressed powder, which is pretty awesome.

Have you guys checked this out? Have you checked out any of the other new releases? What are your thoughts?
